Man, 71, dies from semi-truck versus pickup truck crash in Thomson

MCCDUFFIE COUNTY, GA – A 71-year-old man died from a pickup truck and semi-trailer crash on I-20 in Thomson Monday. 

The collision happened before 10 am near Cobbham Road, WRDW reported. 

For reasons unknown, the pickup truck got trapped inside the semi-truck. As a result, one of the drivers, Carl Forss, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.  

At the time of reporting, some lanes on I-20 closed but have reopened since.
