Narrative

ACWORTH, GA – Some occupants sustained injuries, and a 50-year-old woman later passed away at a hospital following a two-vehicle wreck on Monday. 

This crash occurred before 8:30 p.m. at the Cobb Parkway Northwest and Blackacre Trail junction. 

Cobb County Police indicated that the driver of the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee (going south) crashed into the side of a gray 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe, pursuing a turn. As a result, the Cherokee rolled over. 

The Jeep driver sustained some unspecified wounds but was not taken to a hospital. 

The three Hyundai passengers and driver were all hospitalized. One of the occupants, a 50-year-old woman, had passed away. She has been identified as Angela Smith of Kansas City, Kansas. 

At this time, It is unclear what current conditions the other occupants and driver are in.
