Narrative
CRISP CO., GA – Three people died Thursday in a crash involving a stolen vehicle and a semi-truck along the interstate in north-central Crisp County.
The incident occurred along I-75 near mile marker 103. This is just northeast of Cordele and east of Crisp County-Cordele Regional Airport.
Police say the driver of a stolen Range Rover lost control of the vehicle while evading police, crossed over all lanes of the I-75, and rear-ended a parked 18-wheeler.
All three people in the Range Rover died at the scene of the wreck. They’ve not yet been named publicly.
Authorities say the victims were wanted for stealing the vehicle in New York City.
No other injuries have been referenced in connection to the accident.
