ATHENS, GA – According to 11Alive News, 1 person was killed and another 5 people were injured in a head-on crash in Athens on Wednesday.

The crash took place near the intersection of Lexington Road and Oak Drive on Wednesday night when two vehicles collided head-on. One of the drivers was killed in the collision and pronounced dead at the scene. The second driver and four passengers in his vehicle sustained injuries in the crash and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
