Narrative
A 78-year-old woman is dead following a crash on Lexington Road in Athens on Wednesday morning. The crash occurred around 6:45am on Lexington Road at the intersection with Shadybrook Drive when the woman was making a u-turn and was struck by another vehicle. The woman was taken to a local hospital where she died from her injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a hospital and was treated for injuries. An investigation is ongoing.
