Man, 32, dead after crashing stolen car into tree in Augusta

RICHMOND COUNTY, GA – A 32-year-old man who robbed a Walgreens store was left dead in a single-car crash in Augusta Thursday. 

The collision occurred at Berckmans Road and Washington Road, WJBF reported. 

The man was operating a stolen Honda Accord. Georgia State troopers tried to stop him. However, he fled and drove west on Washington Road before losing control of a vehicle and crashing into a tree. 

The man also robbed a Walgreens Wednesday night in Hephzibah. 

Officials identified him as Kenneth Thomas Paige of Augusta, 32, of Augusta.
